| Debt Negotiation - Doing It Yourself |
|
|
|
|
Debt negotiation is no different than doing your own taxes,
representing yourself in court, or investing your money in the stock
market---you can do it yourself, but you may come out on top by
using the aid of a professional. Truth be told, some consumers have
had great success in negotiating settlements on their own. If you’re
already being offered a settlement for 50 percent of the balance by
the creditor and you have the money readily available, there’s
probably no need to even use our services. Sure, we may be able to
negotiate a lower settlement, but with our fees, it is unclear
whether you’ll save any more money. That being said, if you do not
have a lump sum available or if the creditor is refusing to lower
your balance, using a debt negotiation company is a great solution.
Do you know what’s a good offer from your creditor? Because of our
industry knowledge we are able to gauge whether a creditor’s
settlement offer is worth considering. You may think 30% off with
one of your banks is a great deal, but that doesn’t necessarily mean
it can’t be settled for much less.
Do you know which creditors are more aggressive with past due
debtors? Again, our negotiation expertise has given us the knowledge
to know which creditors need to be settled first, what the lowest
possible settlement is, and when the ideal time to settle the debt
is. A creditor may be threatening to sue you for the full balance,
but how will you know if this is just a bluff?
Are you sure you want to deal with the creditor calls on your own?
Sure, Franklin Debt Relief can’t stop the calls, but by using
professional negotiators, they can at least be minimized. We give
you the tools to educate yourself on the FDCPA (Fair Debt
Collections Practices Act), and pay a consumer advocacy group to
represent you with the creditors, so as to minimize any annoying
calls. Depending on the creditor, many clients change their phone
number and address to our phone number and address so the calls come
to us instead of them.
Do you even want to deal with it? Like taxes, debt negotiations can
be a tedious task. It is time consuming and very stressful, and
there are professionals that will gladly do it on your behalf.
If you would like to learn more about our debt reduction program,

Still want to do it yourself? Franklin Debt Relief wishes you the
best of luck and recommends that you check out this self-help debt
